Photonic crystals based on porous anodized aluminum oxide represent nanopore structures with pore diameters changing periodically over time. Such materials allow one to control over light propagation remaining permeable to liquids and gases. Synthesis of photonic crystals based on porous anodized aluminum oxide in an oxalic acid electrolyte is considered with sinusoidal and triangular voltage modulation. It is shown that the triangular modulation allows the anodizing time to be reduced by 30% compared to the sinusoidal modulation. Moreover, samples with the triangular modulation have brighter and narrower spectral lines.
