The article describes the microwave synthesis of isovaleric acid monoglyceride by the isopropylidene method using microwave-assisted synthesis. The yield of the target product was 94%. The resulting compound was characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The resulting product was studied for antibacterial and antifungal activity. It was found that isovaleric acid monoglyceride has pronounced antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and moderate antifungal activity against Candida albicans.
