The aim of this study is to analyze Kazakhstani legislation in the sphere of adoption and children’s rights to qualitatively assess the level of implementation of norms of international acts in the relevant sphere and their conformity to international rules. Certain norms of international acts have not been implemented (particularly norms regarding the right of an adopted child to know their biological parents). Arguments in favor of their implementation are presented in the study. From a practical perspective, this work is of interest to legal professionals practicing in the field of comparative law and international private law.
