The article presents the results of research on the sublimation of antimony sulfide. The kinetics of evaporation of synthetic antimony sulfide from the stationary layer and from the boiling layer is studied. It is shown that the rate of evaporation of antimony sulfide exceeds 7–9 times when evaporating from the boiling layer compared to the experiments of the stationary layer. Due to the fact that antimony is also found in concentrates in the form of oxide compounds, a method for sulfidating elemental sulfur in the process of sublimation in a fluidized bed furnace is applied. At 1073–1273 K of concentrate processing, a 95 % – 97 % sublimation of antimony sulfide was achieved with a concentration of gold in the remainder. The sublimates contained 99.6 % Sb2S3 and up to 0.3 % arsenic. The complete separation of antimony and gold has been achieved without affecting the production of precious metals.
