The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the myth was accepted for the object of study by several fields of science. In general, the human sciences system built a huge system of assumptions and conclusions about the myth, conducted a multi-faceted study in the field of philology, including folklore and literature. The leading approach to the study of this problem is the descriptive method that has afforded revealing peculiarities of myth and its influence on the structure of meta-text. The materials of the paper imply the practical significance for the university teachers of the philological specializations.
