Microflame devices are employed in GTE combustion chambers and in other fuel-burning devices. They facilitate the combustion process by reducing the toxicity of the fuel and ensuring uniformity of temperature behind the chamber. This increases the heat stress of the fire zone and performs the primary function of preparing the air-fuel mixture and organizing stable combustion in microflames. This article presents the findings of an experimental study of the combustion chamber of a Gas Turbine Engine (GTE) with a microflame front device and their fuel preparation elements, as well as the stabilization of microflame formation behind turbine blades during liquid fuel combustion. The influence of structural elements on the combustion process was revealed through experiments investigating the relationship between the levels of fuel combustion completeness, the release of toxic nitrogen oxides and the degree of unevenness of the temperature field for various lattices of stabilising elements of microflame devices. The results of experimental studies conducted during microflame combustion of a pre-prepared fuel-air mixture (fuel TC-1) in the combustion chamber of a gas turbine engine across a wide range of values for the ratio of air to fuel (αΣ=2.0÷20) that maintain the value of other characteristics at the current level (ηg=0.98÷0.995; σ*=1.5÷2.8%; δ=8÷14%). This has revealed the following emissions of nitrogen oxides: The concentration of CNO was found to be below 25 ppm. Additionally, the experiments demonstrated the impact of the relative pitch of the MFU blades, the thickness of the trailing edge of the blades, and the shape of the blade profile on the NOx output and the completeness of fuel combustion.
